Privacy Policy

The short version
LongBall Fantasy is a free-to-play prediction league. We collect the minimum needed to run your account and your leagues, we don't sell your data, and we don't use advertising trackers. You can delete your account — and everything tied to it — yourself, any time.
What we collect
- Account: your email address, a username you choose, an optional emoji avatar, and a password (stored only as a salted hash by our authentication provider).
- Gameplay: the leagues you join, the predictions you make with play money, duel challenges and the optional trash-talk messages you attach, and league team names.
- Technical: standard server logs (IP address, device type, timestamps) kept briefly for security and debugging, and a bot-protection check at sign-in.
We don't collect payment information — there is nothing to buy. We don't collect precise location, contacts, photos, or health data.
How we use it
- To run the game: standings, settlements, duels, and rivalry records are computed from your picks.
- To show you to your league-mates: your username, avatar, team name, picks, and results are visible to members of the leagues you join, and to anyone you challenge.
- To email you: account emails (sign-up confirmation, password reset) and league recap emails when an event you played finishes. Recaps can be turned off by replying to one or emailing support.
- To keep the service safe: abuse prevention, bot detection, and security monitoring.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that operate the product on our behalf, under their own privacy terms:
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
- Vercel — web hosting.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Cloudflare — bot protection on sign-in (Turnstile).
- Anthropic — generates the short commentary lines in recap emails from league results; no email addresses or personal identifiers are sent, only usernames and outcomes.
- Apple — if you use the iOS app, App Store and TestFlight distribution.
We never sell personal data, and we don't share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Prediction prices
Some predictions are priced using public prediction-market data and our own models. No personal data is involved in pricing.
Your choices
- Delete your account from the Account screen in the app or on the website. This permanently removes your profile, picks, duels, and memberships; leagues you run pass to their longest-standing member, or are removed if you were the only one in them.
- Change your avatar or team names any time. Usernames are permanent because duels and rivalry records key on them.
- Email Support@longball.com to access or export your data, or for anything else.
Children
LongBall Fantasy is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
Retention
Account and gameplay data is kept while your account exists. Server logs are kept for a short period. When you delete your account, its data is removed from our live database immediately; backups age out on a rolling basis.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
